 JUNIOR HIGH STAFF AT WELCH, CENTRAL, AND ST. CECILIA
 1953-1954

What follows was not originally envisioned as a chapter in Looking Back.  Rather it was a worksheet I compiled preparatory to writing Chapter Twenty-one.  My source of information was the Ames Daily Tribune issue on September 5, 1953.  I supplement the list below with some material from the September 3, 1954, issue of the paper as well as personal knowledge for the staff of Welch.  When I mentioned this document to Dennis Wendell, he indicated he would like me to include it.  So here it is.

     Native of Pella; came to Welch in 1953 to teach English and girls= PE;
     left in 1954 to go to the Netherlands;
     succeeded by Miss Mary Ver Hoef in 1954.
